So hot

Its hot.  Horribly hot.  And humid.  Oh god is it humid!  I just hide in my room all day lately because of it.  Cant wait for this stupid monsoon season to end.  Another month or two bleah.

My cat is heaps better.  He's hardly clawing himself to death anymore, the infection at his ear is gone, he's still not gaining weight as fast as I would like, but he's spritely and playful and good again.  Except the other day...  It was the 1 day I decided I should go to sleep early instead of staying up till 6am keeping an eye on him until my parents woke up.  Well about 12:30am I decided to sleep.  Yeah thats considered early to me.  3:30am I woke up wide awake.  I sensed something.  Opened the door, saw my cat walking down the hallway.  I'm thinking ok he must of heard me get up and walked to the kitchen to show me he's hungry.  But I decide to just check the spare room since he's been sleeping on the bed there lately.

BOOM!  I noticed he urinated on the bed.  Just then too.  Most of it was still ontop of a couple plastic wrapped things I had on there.  Only a little had seeped onto the covers.  I quickly removed a few things I had on the bed and wrapped the thick covers up along with a couple of things I had on that were drenched and quickly took it downstairs.  Unfortunately I wasnt fast enough and a bit had seeped onto the mattress.  No tmuch, like a small hands worth area of slight dampness.  So for the next 3 hours I cleaned the tiles of the room and the bed, mop, sponges, and steam mop, just basically trying to clean and destroy any kind of germs he'd left.  Then my mum woke up and her fury was unrivaled.

The covers we've decided to throw out, as were a couple of my things.  The plastic wrapped item was this cool magnetic parting fly screen.  You just stick it to the outside of the door frame and it keeps everything out but parts easy if you push against it.  Oh well.  I'm NOT cleaning that.  Yeah it was protected, but I'm not opening those covers to go diving in for it.  My life will be complete without it.   The cat knew he'd been bad though but its not his fault.  Noone was up to let him out and my parents door was closed with the aircon.  Yesterday though he was awesome.  He jumped up on their bed, which he hasnt done since he was a kid, and woke up my mum by mewing.  She let him outside and off he went and then returned when finished.  Awesome cat.

I'll end this off with something I saw that made me lol.  This is why guys get frustrated.

SOPA And PIPA Shelved Indefinitely

Remember when your mom said whining never helped anything? Turns out she was wrong! Ever since the day the 'Net went dark, politicians -- ranging from Congressmen to presidential candidates to European Internet czars -- have been tripping over themselves backing away from the political hot potato. This morning, even more heartening events occurred: the lead sponsors behind the bills announced that both PIPA and SOPA have been shelved indefinitely.

Now, that doesn't quite mean they're dead -- SOPA and PIPA may just be sleeping until the collective herd forgets about the uproar -- but it definitely puts a damper on their odds of passage. Even if SOPA and PIPA die on the political vine due to widespread opposition and upcoming elections, don't expect this to be the end of things. IP theft is still a real issue and one that the government and big business alike take seriously, as evidenced by the closing line in an announcement released by the MPAA this morning:

"It is incumbent that (SOPA/PIPA critics) now sincerely work with all of us to achieve a meaningful solution to this critically important goal."

(Of course, he also took time to signal the shelving as a hammer-blow to the knee of America's interests. "As a consequence of failing to act, there will continue to be a safe haven for foreign thieves; American jobs will continue to be lost; and consumers will continue to be exposed to fraudulent and dangerous products peddled by foreign criminals.")

The sponsors of both bills still hope to reach a political tenable compromise with the 'Net in upcoming days: if we hear of SOPA stirring from its new-found slumber, we'll let you know.

Its a late thursday

Today I thought it was friday.  I'm pretty glad it isnt as a friend of mine is moving state on sunday.  So we're planning to FEAST tomorrow, which is friday, before he heads off.  I look forward to much numnum food.  I'd be saving my money since I'm not working still, but this is an exception I can do.

Took my cat to the vet today, had an appointment after 2 weeks from last time.  He's doing heaps better.  Still trying to get rid of all of his issues but he's coming along fine.  My dads fronting the bill since I'm super low after having spent over 3 grand on vet bills in the last 6months bringing my cat back from deaths door step.  Pretty happy he is or I'd be putting it on the credit card.  If I'm really really lucky I only have 2 more trips over the next month and he'll be good.  Fingers crossed as always.

I spent most of today editing the next L4D playthrough clip.  Was much easier since I knew all the little tricks I used to get the first one sounding less shit.  Once I'm happy with it I'll upload it and hope to hell youtube doesnt decide to go and fuck with it.  Maybe tomorrow.

Yesterday I noticed a sale going on a bunch of childrens books I've always wanted.  Peter Rabbit collection in this awesome casing, Roald Dahl childrens book collection, and a few others.  I'm hoping the sales last a while so I can grab them when I'm working again.  Always wanted them.  Would be awesome to keep and oneday hand them to my kids if I ever decide to get around to having any.  At the very least they'd be awesome gifts to whatever friend I decided was worth blessing their kids with.

Friend tossed me this earlier today.  I thought it was pretty cool.  I'd link the picture but its pretty long in size, so just jump to the weblink..

Its the time to be jolly

Oh its late, but I work under my own time.  Also, I had to upload this twice because the first time youtube didnt behave.  I hope you all enjoy it.  I've also made a special gift for you all with my renowned MSPaint skillz!  My next clip should hopefully be a L4D related one, if Jed manages to give me his clips sometime this year.

Little to nothing

So not too much happening lately.  Cat had his weekly trip to the vets.  They gave him a couple injections for his issues and sent me home with pills.  So I'm basically doing my best to get his health problems back under control.  Even at night when he goes outside for a toilet run I go with him and make sure theres no other cats in the yard.  I've had to chase out a couple too.  By chase I pretty much mean walk a couple steps towards them and they bolt.

I DID notice though a possum coming into the yard and eating left over slices of bread that my dad throws out to feed the doves in our area.  I caught him clinging to the top of the fence line with my cat sitting below just staring up at him.  He ended up walking off after a while as he got bored or something, possum just happily clinging up there.  I took a photo of him lol

While screwing around outside I decided to take a picture of one of my mums many little garden sections that she decked out with some lights since I knew she'd like one.  It was pitch black so it gave me a chance to try and figure out how to use my camera better.  I've had this damn Panasonic G2 for like a year and a half or whatever and its still tricky to figure out.  I think I'm doing better.  I just wish I had a better lens for zooming.  But they're expensive.  Possum photo was also done with the same camera.  My quickshot sony TX-10 isnt good enough for night shots.  Well, not compared to my expensive one.

I was amazing on the floor!

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A handsome superman, barely kept himself fed,
Then one day he was practicing at Kung fo,
And up through the toe came a bloody crude.

Broken bone that is, black toe, hairline fracture.

Well the first thing you know ol Jed's in bed,
Kinfolk said "Jed you a stupid head!"
Said "Don't you know it'll hurt to even fart?"
So they loaded up the truck and went to the ER.

Hospital, that is. Expensive, Long waits.

Well now its time to say good by to Jed and his savings
A broken toe will be months of humiliation
You're all invited back a gain to this locality
To have a heapin laugh at his stupidity

Regret that is. Wearing a special shoe, cant walk it off.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?.

Soooooo! Long story short I been taking Tang Soo Do classes everyday Saturday after work. A couple weeks back was our first contact practice (FIGHTING). I made a awesome back kick that my instructor blocked with a palm strike. Result? I broke my big toe and he broke a tinny place on  of his hand. I tested last Saturday and was ranked to a Blue Belt.
