You cant be serious.

So today 2 people 'schooled' me.  These two keep bringing out their uber knowledge of everything under the sun and assuming I know less.  Also their opinion is 100% fact and anyone who disagrees with them is wrong.  I'll usually say something, then they'll be like nu-uh, and I'll just back off with my hands up.  Getting into arguments with people like this is basically counter productive.

The latest thing was about MMOs.  They're geniuses at them too.  I mentioned a little while back that I dont really play them since I prefer story driven games, unless its a strategy/tactics/simulation type game.  I was dumb enough to say I'm not interested in playing a game just to get to max level and do the repetitive end-games the MMOs have.  I just dont have the patience to grind my way to the good stuff.  I'll play a game for a while, then move on because I have too many single player games I want to finish.  Very picky with my MMOs.  Anyway, endgame + max level is NOT the purpose of MMOs.  Its completely about socializing.  They told me I should get out of my shell and experience more games.  These are guys who were probably 10 when fucking Everquest 1 came out which I was playing back in the day and others since.  Basically dont argue with people who think they are gods gift to knowledge. You WILL lose.  Your red shirt?  Thats blue.  No, shut up.  Its BLUE.  Got it?

Heres a couple pics I saw that I found lol worthy.  The first one I know Jed wrote it up somewhere.  The second one, thats Jeds preferred meal.  No really.  Click the first one to maximize so you can actually read it.

  1. I know at least one genius in my house. All I did when she began lecturing was keep quiet.

What the hell was the first picture all about? PC vs Console wars? That was bloody biased lol. Can barely see any worthwhile differences between PC and Console games other than PC being modifiable, has interchangeable graphics and more fluent with FPS.

  5. I saw that picture yesterday and thought it was hilarious. Here's the website it comes from, it was most likely created as some big troll attempt.

You say you don't play MMOs because you are into story driven games. Are you going to try out The Old Republic? Not sure if you are into Bioware games, but that game's going to be more story driven than any other MMO.

  7. @sik160 Thanks for the warning, I'm not going to go there now. xD

I'm not really into the whole MMO thing. I do play Vindictus, and I have to admit, I love socializing with people on it. They seem actually intelligent, haha.

  8. @Huffy, yeah actually that one is the MMO I'm most interested in playing because of their focus on story telling. Something very new. I wish the graphics looked a bit better though. And I've known about bioware for years. Back in the days of Baldurs Gate.

  11. I can't stand people that argue like that. I know a guy who argues like that with me quite often. Extremely frustrating.

I like how Jed's soup is, "cheap, fast, and easy."

Oh, and PC >> Console. Although, consoles are fun for hanging out with other people.

  12. You know everyone says that, hanging out with other people. Almost the entire time a console gamer spends with friends is playing with them online. Hardly ever in a room with them.

  13. I only use my PS3 for splitscreen games, I have two computers. One is crap, one is good. Can't even LAN the same game. Especially the newer stuff, so I get those newer games on PS3 that have split screen capabilities.

  14. I almost shit my pants when I saw that picture. Does whoever made that realize that Half-Life is a 1998 god damn game, and Bad Company 2 is a 2010 game? I want to step on whoever posted that. Unless he is trolling... then i'll still want to step on him.

  15. ok, that must be a troll...or the guy is just amazingly blind. Especially considering that the PC game isn't even Half Life, it's Deus Ex. :|
