You're a mean one Mr. Jed.

When at work you gotta try and have fun. If you don't try than you live a pretty depressing life. Thankfully I work with some rather cool guys who also share my immature sense of humor. Take for a example this guy named Chad. A man the same age as me but enjoys singing along out loud to the radio. Not for the personal satisfaction but to see the agony on other's faces when he can't keep a tune.

Well Ol'Chad was picking on me off and on this past week. Throwing little rolls of plastic at me when my back was turned or shutting off my power equipment at the moments I am most distracted. But you all know me. If I can fool thousands of people on Youtube that I saved Con's L4D character by sabotaging him with propane, I can surely get away with revenge.

You see at work we use these machines called PEs. Which just creatively stands for "Power Equipment". All they really are though are motorized Pallet Jakes.

As you can tell they have pretty long forks. This allows us to transport two pallets at a time. And on these pallets we place the merchandise ordered from various stores that need their stock replenished. So when lunch break was called over the intercom I paid close attention to where Mr. Chad had parked his stacks. And with a smile and a smirk I stealth mode myself over to them.

I separated his two very loaded pallets. Leaving one where it laid and relocated the other about 30 feet away but to the right lane. This way he just couldn't back one into the other. It would require him to gracefully reconnect them together with a little diving ingenuity.

Sure enough when he came back from lunch he knew he had been had. He looks around to see who had pranked him. When his eyes meet with mine he cursed out my name. I laughed in a way that would make Jafar impressed. And then as fast as my smile emerged I was driving away.

Now normally this would be a rather harmless prank but Chad wasn't building his stacks good that day. When he tried to reconnect them I am told his back stack fall apart and landed all over the floor. Something he had to hurry up and clean. All while everyone is waiting on him to finish so they can continue on with their own orders. Point is kiddies. Don't get even. Get ahead. And happy new year.

Zip zip zoom

Hope everyone enjoyed their christmas!  I would of done something christmassy for the blog or a clip but I'm super lazy and dont have the will to bother lololol.

You always think about presents during this time of year.  And I always think about the 2 things I really want to do one day.  Create a huuuuuuuuge room sized train set course with tunnels and villages and everything on a massive table.  And also another similar one but with slot car tracks.  There is no reason for either of these.  I'm no huge train fan, nor a big car fan.  But the kid in my has always wanted these.  The train one is just completely magical to me.  Chances of me doing either?  Most likely zero.  So I take my depression with me to bed every night.

I saw this on youtube the other day and I thought omg thats so cool.  Some guy took up his entire floor with a slot car race set.  Looked like so much fun.  The first one shows the track while they're racing.  The second clip shows it from the view point of one of the cars.  Its pretty unreal.

2012

So it ends TODAY!  And by ends I dont mean the world, I'm talking about all this stupid end of the world rubbish we've had to put up with for the past few years.  Most people should hopefully know by now but the mayan calendar ended back in june or july or whatever, since they never counted leap years.  The only GOOD thing about all this is all the awesome specials happening in stores.  Loving it!  Just wish I had money to buy EVERYTHING!

For those who are still convinced the world is ending, feel free to send me all your money through the donate button on the side.  Also, I may have to force myself to play L4D2 with a few new friends just so I can play some custom maps that caught my eye over time.  Shame no one makes shit for the first game.  Thanks modders!  Way to focus on the inferior sequel!

For Better or for Worse.

So Mr. Con has been raging at me lately for being a slacker. Never mind the fact I just got out of a Pet Hospital. Donated ANOTHER gallon of blood to his cat. He has this crazy vision to make it live forever! May just work. I am pretty special.

Whats really special though is whats been happening to me. After owning my first ever home I made a second very big step in my life. I put the world's smallest handcuffs on my finger and married the girl of my life. A little beauty named Katherine.

It was a rather small wedding. We tried to keep it that way so a lot of money would not have to be spent on food, events, entertainment etc. Its a big day sure but we wanted to make sure it wasn't too much for our families to handle.

The wedding took place in a small church in the center of the small town of Hillsboro. We even did things differently with who would marry us. We had a great guy named Jaden do it. Who is a older brother figure for Katherine since she was little. He is nice, moral, funny, and was pretty brave for stepping up to the task. Only messed up once!

After the ceremony the real party was set to begin! We thought long and hard (giggly) about where and how to hold the reception. We finally settled on the location that just seemed perfect for many reasons. A local bowling ally. The place of our first ever date.

And I know how weird that may sound. When I think of a bowling ally I think of a place that smells of shoes and full of men wearing plaid. Thankfully that is not the case here. Not only is the place new, jammed packed with Tvs, Arcade games, music and drinks. Its also attached to a fantastic grill restaurant. Which also had a banquet hall! Again, a perfect solution for us.

I've been to a couple weddings in my time and they can be pretty boring. Mostly people stand around and talk. Making small chat with others. People they have no interest in. Not here though. Tell a group of people they can have unlimited rounds of bowling with free food, games, club style dancing, while Gangnam Style blasts the speakers and you are now at one of my celebrations!

Needless to say it was a blast. I think everyone had a great time. Even our Photographer said it was the funniest wedding she's ever been to. Which I am very happy for. Even though it was a very special day for us, I didn't want to ignore the enjoyment of our guests.

The only thing more tiring than a wedding is a honeymoon. It took a long time to save up for this but turns out a guy can save a lot of money when he isn't with someone. And for a long time I wasn't. So with money set aside in my personal savings, I went an got a couple tickets to somewhere magic. I'll post about that next. ;)

The thing about Jed

I was going to make a poll where everyone could vote on what level of slackness they thought would refer to Jed since he's been absent from making any kind of use of himself, but decided it wouldnt matter as we already know he's 10 degrees of slackness.  He also owes all of us a huge post.  I expect him to make it this month sometime or I'll be pulling the friendship card back since I can do better!

Thankfully he should be uploading a bunch of things for me that I've been asking for a while.  Namely an older L4D campaign we did and hopefully all of the portal clips so I can get them uploaded as he's been horribly busy to do anything other than breathe and stalk women at the mall.

Next week is the huge STEAM sales and other places I like to go to, like GreenManGaming and GamersGate.  WHOS READY TO THROW AWAY THEIR MONEY!!

BOOM SHAKE THE ROOM!

This weeks had its ups and downs.  I'd decided to ask my friend if I could grab a dvd set I'd lent him about 6 years back.  It was the Robotech Protoculture set.  I love that series and watched it when I was around 12 or so like most people.   Its amazing the impressions you get as a kid when watching something.  Discovering it for the first time on the video shelf and wondering what it is, grabbing it and later finding out there are actually more to the series and you didnt know about it.  Its a wondrous feeling  I dont get that feeling anymore sadly.  I honestly could write about 30 pages on this sort of topic if I let myself, but that would make a super boring post and much too much effort for me.

So the protoculture set was pretty much my baby.  I'd gotten the extended dvd set before it and before that the legacy set and before that the VHS tapes.  So when I asked my friend, who was also a huge fan, he said he didnt have it anymore and must of given it back.  There were only 2 people I could of handed it to and he was one of them.  The other guy blew me away by offering to buy me a new set since he knows my money situation isnt tickety boo, but I have issues when people buy me stuff.  Makes me uneasy.  Mind you I have zero problems buying heaps of crap for people so go figure.  So I searched the net and realized there was a new set out published in england, by A&E video.  They bought the rights after ADV imploded.  Two awesome things about this, it had some bonus extras the other set didnt, like an hour or so documentary with Macek talking about how he put the series together.  Second awesome thing, it happened to be half price that actual day.  I was like omg and grabbed it.  Next day friend tells me he found my protoculture set.  Oh its comedy gold!  Glad he found it, but I must have this new set too.  Wonder what to do with these older sets...

Caught up with a bunch of films and tv shows lately.  Watched Snow White and the Huntsman.  Only watched it for Thor, and I have to say that film was beyond stupid.  At least the CG was pretty godly.  But seriously fuck that writer.  I wanted to break someones legs because of it.  Preferably his.  Seriously, worst crap in ages.   It felt like a Uwe Boll movie with a budget, but thats slightly unfair as I somehow half enjoyed his Bloodrayne movie.  I dont know why.  But it was better then that shit.  Also FINALLY saw He-Man and the Masters of the Universe movie as it came out on bluray recently.  Huge fan of the original series in the 80s, and god knows how I never got around to watching it.  I also enjoyed it but most likely for the wrong reasons.  And today watched Paranorman.  New clay animation movie about a kid who can speak to ghosts.  I hadnt heard of it before till a friend of mine who worked on the film mentioned it to me.  Very excellent film.  Comedy was great.  Check out the trailer, I really recommend it.

One other thing I'd like to bring up is today we had a pretty strong earth tremor.  Usually we have small ones.  But this one, wow..  I was at a friends place and his home is ground based.  You only slightly feel tremors in those.  This one made parts of his room shake.  We were like wtf.  And then I remembered my house is an elevated one and I had a few things up high, like my priceless Thor vs Loki statue at the top of one of my bookcases.  I dreaded the worst as my house does shake some during little tremors, and this one wasnt little.  Got home and SOMEHOW nothing had fallen, not even things precariously positioned on something, nor my round fat angry bird that was perched on a few dvds.  I guess the building we're doing down stairs has given the house more support so it shook less.  I'm still very surprised.  If my Thor statue had fallen over and smashed I would of been beside myself.  My huuuuuuuge Alien statue is pretty well placed but had that magically broken, just fuck the entire world right there.  I'd be depressed for years.

So anyway the earthquake itself was pretty close.  And it was a 7.1 in strength so no surprise we felt it.  Heres a map of it.  I'm in Darwin at the bottom.  You can see its fairly closed.  Far closer than usual.

If you ever feel like tracking any nearby earthquakes, just go to this link.

Next borderlands clip

So I'm actually losing interest in uploading these so I'll be trimming them much more, removing lots of the silly vehicle travelling and other stuff like roaming the central city hub.  People kept asking me to upload a playthrough of games so I figured this one would be a good choice.  Doesnt seem to be lol

A special day

So this week has been fairly entertaining.  WHOS ENJOYING THE STEAM SALES?!  And the other ones like the delicious GreenManGaming and their eternal 20%-25%-35% off vouchers.  Love them to death.

So I've been heading to the city a few times a week lately to the job agency since I'm trying to find one.  I really need to get one soon so I can actually WORK and earn some money.  Its frustrating as hell to be unemployed but I do my best to distract myself so that I'm never depressed over it.  I do pretty good.  Need the money for a few things.  A bit of work on the house is needed.  Need to save up to see my grandmother in the next couple years as I'm a little worried of losing her since my grandfather passed away during christmas period last year.  Oh sure majority of my family are there for company but majority of them are absolute scum who dont spend enough time with her.  When I was visiting there 5 years back or whatever I spent almost every day sitting with her and grandfather for hours just chatting.  I'd like to think I used my time there with them well.  But I'd like another shot.  After all once my grandmother passes away I wont be visiting that country again.

Another thing I'd like to do is visit disney land.  Its something I've wanted since I was a kid.  I want to ride those god damn teacups.  My friend heads there every july for the comic convention in san diego.  So I was planning to skip over at the same time as him if I ever managed to save up enough.  I'd probably just stalk Ariel for the entire time too lololoollo.   I'm pretty sure I'd also get a chance to meet Jed while there.  Theres no way he'd be able to resist not stopping by for 5 straight days of disney land if I were there.  And I guess if any of you lot happen to be there, if I ever manage to afford the trip, we can all ride the teacups together!

So far in my plan of saving up, which has been planned for years and still not managed, I have somewhat gone in REVERSE.  Last week a couple glorious things happened.  I got a lovely parking fine as I misjudged the time I had parked my car and the amount of money I'd put into the stupid meter.  So theres a grand $40 to the council to do nothing for the city with but instead put aside to fund their 3-4 times a week morning tea breaks where they all stand around for an hour doing nothing but chatting and eating.  Since I worked there in the past I know what these scum do.  I also never joined in with their crappy tea breaks. I dont like socializing with people at work.  Especially when I dont know 90% of them.

My cat also managed to get a problem with his claw.  It bent downwards and stabbed into the pad of his paw and wouldnt come out so he was limping for a few days.  At first I thought he just injured his foot somehow.  The second day I realized it was his claw.  Sadly by then the next day was sunday so we had to wait till monday for the vet of my choice to be open.  I like them and trust them and dont feel like going elsewhere.  He was also fine as he spent most of the time sleeping like usual.  But after some claw clipping and a couple shots I was down another $120.  I'm also told, and I expected this since I brought it up with the vet, I'll have to take him back in about a month or so to treat his teeth as one of them is looking a little sorry so a clean is in order.  Theres probably another $300.  My disney plans will never happen.

Oh, speaking of plans, I'm told Jed is preparing a couple huge posts soon.  I'm also fairly excited to read them as well.  So lets hope he doesnt fully slack off and actually manage to put them up this week!

And before I forget, the other day was my birthday.  I'm now 37 lololololooll.  So heres me enjoying a declicious satay!

Psyduck

While I'm not really a pokemon fan, I absolutely love Psyduck.  Its pretty annoying that Nintendo dont do much to evolve the game.  Its an excellent concept but its far too simple.  Sure if I was 8 I'd adore it.  But what happens when my 8 year old self turns 15 and then 20?  The games dont change too much.  I want some complexity.

I noticed in the newer games there were 3 on 3 battles.  This is pretty awesome, until I found out it was only during select moments in the game.  Why not just have it in the full thing?  Do MORE with the game.  They could make a legendary MMO if they tried but they wont because nintendo are stupid.

Anyway, while I played a couple of the games briefly and only saw a handful of episodes, Psyduck was always the best for me.  I'm eternally PISSED that he was so underused.  Hes possibly the most powerful pokemon around.  If he concentrated he could probably shut down brains.  And not just 1 brain, he could turn a huge group of pokemon into braindead zombies.  He reminds me of X-Man ( Nate Grey), my most favourite character in the X-Men series.  He was just too powerful and they pretty much killed him off and ended his comic line so the rest of the universe didnt cry in fear.  Thats what Psyduck would be if he could focus.

So I got my new toy today.  Shame theres no HUGE stuffed versions of him.  Theres a couple smaller  ones but nothing impressive.  I'll just make do with this one that reacts to sounds.

Youtube BAH!

Just noticed its been a while since I uploaded any videos.  I swear I'm starting to lose interest in youtube.  I just rather play games without the hassle of editing and uploading.  Since Jeds without internet for a looooooooong while theres very little multiplayer I do, so all my clips would be single player.  And thats the part I never can get passed.  I dont find single player videos to be entertaining at all.  I dont see why people would bother watching.  Going by the views of the borderlands clips I uploaded as a test, its pretty much accurate to what I believe.  Semi pointless. And thats not even single player either lol.  I'll see how I feel but probably should edit some crap.

I do have an older L4D map I'd like to upload but Jed has been unable to get me his clips for it so it would just be all from my point of view, which is why I dont want to upload it.  I wouldnt care as much but theres one spot where its just glorious from his point of view and I want that badly.

I saw this today and thought I'd share it.  Its a new type of cred card that has a keypad on it.  Sounds dodgy to me and I hope my bank doesnt ever go down this path.

MSN being shut down

So today I found out something annoying.  Microsoft will be shutting down its MSN servers and merging them with Skype.  We'll be given the option to merge our contact lists by porting over our MSN profile.  I have two separate friends lists.  I wanted to keep them separate.  I also used MSN because it would tell me when I got a new email, and I dont want to start hooking up my phone and other crap for this.

I've read that they plan to merge some features together, so hopefully this means they also plan to update the interface because its pretty dodgy for chatting.  I hate how they changed the contacts list on the side with the chat list.  Annoys me to no end.  Oh well, this will be happening sometime qtr 1 of next year so a little while to go.  A few months really.

My sickness is finally leaving.  Doctor said this sinus infection should only last another week or so when I spoke to her back on friday or whenever it was.  Today I've only had to cough a handful of times instead of all day, so I'm getting there.  Time to start applying for jobs again.

Thanks cat!

This is what he did to me the other day.  And he wasnt being aggressive or anything.  He just half slipped off my chest while trying to walk away.  Taken on a shit iphone  camera which is shit in slightly low light and cant do skin tones and shadows at the same time cause the camera is shit.  Guess I'll add this to the other scars he's given me over the years.  But scars are manly I'm told.

Virus scanners

So the other day I was chatting with a friend about virus scanners and thought, why not put up some info on here for anyone interested.  Most people I know seem to use norton or AVG.  Now thats all well and good, but there are plenty more out there.  I originally used to use PC-Cillin.  Then after a few years it lost its edge and I flittered between Bitdefender and Kaspersky.  In the end I settled on Kaspersky and have been using it for the past 6-7 years.  Love it to death.

Now I'm not just mindlessly using it.  I'm always looking up info on how each virus scanner is going, particularly which ones are fast enough to pick up new viruses that pop up.  Heres a link that shows off the top 20 scanners that this site reviewed, which was also done this year.

http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

Now depending on which sites you look up their versions of the top 10-20 may differ slightly.  Not a huge amount, but little changes.  Like say Bitdefender at third or second spot, just things skipping one or two places.  But its a good enough idea of whats good, and for years Kaspersky and Bitdefender have been in the top 3-4.  They're also fairly easy to use.  Some out there are horrid.

Now I know some of you are saying 'But I dont want to spend $20-$30 a year on a virus subscription!!'  Thats cool.  There are free ones out there that are just as awesome.  Heres a link showing them..

http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-anti-virus-software.htm

Avast is an excellent free scanner.  And believe it or not the microsoft free scanner is very very good.  I know, I've been a little shocked by this fact over the past year or so.  Panda used to be the best at one stage but slipped down.  AVG, I still dont like that program.  It seems to miss too many things.  Now just because something like Avast is free doesnt mean its not as good as the paid ones.  The reason its free is because theres 3 versions of this program, much like the other free ones (excluding microsoft).  If you pay you then get the next level of security features Avast has, like Sandbox program running, firewall, anti-spam etc.

Some of you may have noticed that the first link claims AVG is better than Avast.  Thats an example of how some sites use certain 'test' parameters that are different to others.  But again, not a big difference.  I remember when Avira used to be top dog for free scanners. Gone.  But I'll stay with Kaspersky till I notice them faltering.  But considering how they've gone for years, I dont see this happening.  I'd also like to mention I loathe Norton.  Hope this helped some of you.

This is Red Leader checking in.

To continue from where we last left off, I am a home owner! Yay picture times!

These are the huuuge boulders that the previous owner collected. Thats my theory anyway.

The back yard at one time had a deck or a porch of some kind. When the home went for sale I guess they took it with them. Notice how they cut the beams down to the ground. So weird. I could dig them up and reinstall a deck in the future but that'll be a couple years in the future I suspect.

The house needed a new pair of steps pretty badly. The set that was left here was very weathered and I was fearful that it only be a matter of time, one wet day, I would either fall off them or they would break from under me. So I set money aside to purchase some material, got together with my father, and constructed these babies. Ooooooo they are so sturdy and strong. No problems for this guy during the winter months now!

Here is something special for Con. A “Banana Spider”! I think thats whats this breed of spider is. I also heard them called “Bouncing Garden Spiders”. While this one didn't do it for me. Supposedly they rock themselves back and forth on their web when they are threatened. Making it look like they are bouncing around. Pretty cool. To bad I had to kill it with FIRE.

So besides owning a home, some might ask what else is new? Well the entire reason I even got this house is because of my biggest announcement yet! You'll have to wait till tomorrow for that though. BWAH. I am evil.

A diet of champions

So I've still got this cold.  Never before have I had a cold this long.  I'm so annoyed that I'm going to the doctors tomorrow to see what sort of DRUGS they can feed me.  Sadly the doctor I usually see isnt free till friday, and I dont have the patience for that right now, so I'm seeing some lady I dont know.

The other day a friend of mine said to me, I know why you dont gain weight even though you eat enough for 3 cows.  And she sent me this link..

http://www.nation.com.pk/pakistan-news-newspaper-daily-english-online/entertainment/30-Oct-2012/the-horror-movie-diet

I'll paste what it says here-

WATCHING a horror film could burn off the equivalent of a bar of chocolate in calories, according to new research.
Viewers who put themselves through 90 minutes of adrenaline-pumping terror can use up as much as 113 calories, close to the amount burned during a half-hour walk and the equivalent to a chocolate bar. The movie top of the list of calorie-burners was found to be the 1980 psychological thriller The Shining, with the average viewer using up a whopping 184 calories.
Jaws took the runner-up spot, with viewers burning on average 161 calories, and The Exorcist came third, with 158 calories.
The University of Westminster study measured the total energy expenditure of ten different people as they watched a selection of frightening movies.
Scientists recorded their heart rate, oxygen intake and carbon dioxide output - and discovered the number of calories used increased by on average a third during the films.
The research also revealed films featuring moments designed to make viewers jump in terror are the best calorie-burners, as they cause heart rates to soar.
Dr Richard Mackenzie, of the University of Westminster, said: "Each of the ten films tested set pulses racing, sparking an increase in the heart rate of the case studies. As the pulse quickens and blood pumps around the body faster, the body experiences a surge in adrenaline. It is this release of fast acting adrenaline, produced during short bursts of intense stress (or in this case, brought on by fear), which is known to lower the appetite, increase the Basal Metabolic Rate and ultimately burn a higher level of calories."  –WO

I'm not really sure how it applies to me.  Oh sure I love watching horror films and watch a few a week.  But its rare that any scare me or even make me jump so I dont think my heart rate is up.  But either way this is a pretty awesome diet.  Play Amnesia, lose 5pounds loollool

Coughcough

So the past few days I've caught some cold thats beyond shitty.  Eyes burning, a horribly sore throat, temperature, and my ears hurt.  Usually if I catch something I'm good by the second day, sometimes the third day at the extreme.  Now its been 3 days and I still feel the same.  I could be dying.  Called up the doctors office at 5pm to make an appointment for the next day, get told by an answering machine they close at 6.  I'm like wtf

Saw the trailer for Iron Man 3 and was pretty impressed.  Finally a villain from the comic books and not some shitty filler story that the boring second movie was about.  So I'm looking forward to it.

A friend showed me a clip from disney land of one of the girls who acts like Ariel from the Little Mermaid.  I swear if I ever managed to visit disney land I would totally kidnap her, lock her up in a room, and force her to sing for me every day like a villain.  Of all the disney movies, Little Mermaid is my ultra favourite with Beauty and the Beast a very close second.  I'd probably say Beauty and the Beast is probably the better movie, but favourites arent classed that way to me.  So I looked up some videos of the voice actresses to see what they're doing and noticed they still sing at disney land events etc.

Of all of them I'd say Ariels is still the most accurate, she is about 51 now I think.  The rest were good, but she is amazing.  And I'm not shy in admitting that my eyes refuse to stop spilling tears while I listen to her.  Its like a reflex thing for me since I love the songs and character so much.  Its like omg stop so I can enjoy this, and my eyes are like fuck you.  Heres a clip of her being awesome.  The only bad thing is the bastards with digital cameras half ruin it with their bloody clickclickclick.  You're recording someone singing, you record them on video tape, not stupid pictures!  Retards.  Oh how I'd love to meet her.

ps if you sound exactly like Ariel feel free to become my wife.  Also WHERE THE FUCK IS MY BLURAY VERSION DISNEY!  Slow bastards!

I also found this of her while she was recording one of the songs.  What I didnt know till now was the guy teaching her in the clip wrote the songs for Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, so its no surprise now why those are my 2 favourite films for songs.  Sadly he died of aids at 40 just after beast was done.  He'd written 11 songs to be used with Aladdin but they only used 3 of them for whatever reason.  Legend.

Finally got it

So about 4months back I commissioned Reilly Brown for a second Deadpool piece to go with my previous cat related one I asked him for.  I wasnt planning to get a second cat related one but the idea popped in my head and I wanted to see it drawn.  So the other day I finally got it in the mail.  I'm pretty happy with it.  If you dont recall the original one I'll put it up first followed by the newer one after it, which features Zatanna.

Its a snails life

The past couple days have been TORTUROUS for me!  My net speed has been slowed down to 30k/s as I have gone over my 200GB limit that my isp has set me.  Now I didnt do all of that on purpose.  One thing I knew but didnt really pay attention to was how Steam auto updates any game you have installed with not only the patch but the entire fucking game at times.  Team fortress 2 slapped me with a 20gb update.  I uninstalled that bitch as I rarely play it lately.  I noticed last week I also did 40gb in 1 day, and I'm positive 3/4 of that was from steam.

So I'm being killed slowly as pages take ages to load up.  Youtube I dont dare go near.  So that means no uploading anything either.  I sent a friend a weblink for fun.  He loaded it up in 6seconds.  It took me 40seconds.  I'll be suffering this for the next 1-2 days till my month clocks over.  I also updated myself to 500gb for very little since the plans changed favourably a while back.  TRY THAT SHIT AGAIN STEAM!  I DARE YOU!

So today I saw something that made me squeal like a little girl.  I mean sure I do that fairly often as is, but this was for an actual reason.  Obsidian has a kickstarter thing going at the moment for an rpg.  The thing runs out in 4 days and they're nearing 3mill already.  They're probably my favourite rpg maker around as they've made some of the greatest games in the past, like Vampire Bloodlines, Neverwinter Nights 2, Baldurs Gate 2, Arcanum, Fallout 1-2, and other stuff.  They werent called Obsidian during all of that, but most of the people who worked on those filtered through.

So below is the screenshot and also their kickstarter page.  I'm practically dying for this.  I mean this, coupled with Wastelands 2 from one of head guys who worked with the other head guys of Obsidian when they founded Interplay, I'm in rpg heaven.

Okay! So, lets get into more detail about the house I posted about. Not very long ago I was on the search for a new place to start my life in. My options was either renting or buying. Renting was looking like a simple option but on average the cost of month's rent would be like $500. So next came a casual search for maybe purchasing a home. Which would be a pretty big step for someone like me.

It took some time and there was some nice places to day dream about but this little gem ultimately had the best of almost everything I wanted. A lot of land for my dogs to run around on, some woods to play paintball and even windows to stick boogers on! The home was kept clean, the yard maintained, and lots and lots of potential to adding personal touches.

The house was a HUD home. Which meant it was property of the Government. This was good for me because it meant they wanted their hands off of it as soon as possible. So soon in fact it went up for auction just months after I first found out about it.

This made things a little tricky. It takes a pretty long time for a bank to approve you for a loan. Its even trickier to find a loan thats really worth having. I don't trust banks much so I wanted to really make sure I was making a good choice. Finally I settled with a smaller facility called First National State Bank. They was actually the only place willing to give me a chance with my little credit score.

With their papers in my hands and the auction happening days away it was praying time. The story about the events at the auction I'll share another time but the awesome news is that I won the house! The previous owner still owed $127,100 on the property. I got it for under $60k! My monthly payments are $371 with everything but electricity included.

Funny enough I was the only one bidding on the home. Who was legit anyway. I had one person bidding against me and that person was from the bank who owned it along side the Government. The only point of him being there was to make sure the place didn't sell for $30k. The higher the property went, the more money in their pocket that would have gotten. It was a dirty trick but what else is new with banks.

But yeah. Long story short, Jed got him his own house! Its clean, only 12 years old, I owe only a fraction on it compared to the previous owner and most importantly, ITS MINE. I can live a life style that is me. I will really try and get pictures of the inside posted within days.

Heres a story. About a man named Brady.

Ha! Now the song is in your head. BWAHA!! So its been a long time. To long. It would have been longer but Con started throwing rocks at my windows. About six insurance claims later I am getting all my supplies together to start making regular posts again.

So here is the run down. Way have I been away so long? Well its because of whats behind door number 2. A BRAND NEW HOUSE!

This 1997 Manufactured home was constructed with all the finest materials the power of the N64 could create. Sitting on a property of 7.3 acres, it comes complete with large back and front yard as well as shady woods.

The house is constructed with 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and living room the size of Con's love handles. Central Air and heat completely installed. Big bonus. And a garden tube in the bathroom for the nights I feel like lighting some candles, playing some jazz, and watching my favorite erotic film. "Chuck Norris and the Tower of Death 2".

Slugging it

Its been a super uneventful week to the point where I lost the urge to blog/upload videos.Mind you I'm no where near as slack as some other person who I wont mention....JED!

This week I've pretty much just been moving along at my happy pace.  I FINALLY bought the DVDs to both seasons of Fawlty Towers as they were having a special from $30 each to $13.  That stuff rarely gets discounted and its the newer remastered ones with some cool bonus extras.  Love it.  While I'm mentioning english comedy, the new season of Red Dwarf has begun after a 13 year absence.  I cant believe its been that long.  I adore the show, seen the episodes from season 1-6 like a billion times each and can still laugh at it.  7 and 8 werent my favourites since it was only 1 of the two creators working on it.  I cant remember if they both worked on 6 at the moment.  Series 9 was technically the movie they made a few years back, which I also didnt really enjoy.  But both creators are back together and I've heard the first episode was awesome.  Will be catching up with it on monday.  CANT WAIT!

I also finally watched Prometheus. I was worried I wouldnt enjoy it because of all the bad buzz its gotten from quite a few people.  Now after having seen it I can see why some people had issues with it.  The movie doesnt hold your hand.  It leaves a lot of things unexplained and open, being unsure about this or that.  Clearly its made so that you learn more int he sequels.  I loved the film, dying to watch the extras which give you more about the story and characters thats fairly important into understanding it more.  Great film.

So at the moment I'm playing away with Torchlight 2, really enjoying it.  Need to finish it so I can play X-Com which unlocks this week.  Was totally thrilled when Firaxis announced they would be making it in the same style to the originals.  Not like that butchered sitty fps version they made for the COD fans, which seems to have been changed recently into a 3rd person squad game for the Mass Affect fans.  I need to finish it so I can get my hands on Dishonored, my personal GOTY pick.  Hopefully there will be a nice sexy sale on during halloween so I can pick it up.

Borderlands 2

So I've been messing with Borderlands 2 lately.  Usually I wait a few months or so before I grab a new release game unless its specifically something I've wanted horribly bad.  Borderlands 2 doesnt fit this criteria but since its mostly co-op I figured I should play it now before all my friends power through it and I dont get to.  I didnt like the first game at all.  Found it horribly boring and didnt play it for long.  2 is 10 times better for sure.  Although to me so far it seems just average.  I'm sure most people will love it though.  So I'm uploading my playthrough.  Friend with me Royce, he's been in a few L4D clips and is also the guy who owns all the toys and xboxs from my toy videos.

Worms Reloaded video

Worms is one of many games Jed and myself play for fun if we feel like doing something light and fun and not too long.  Sara usually plays with us too.  Cody would play if the clown sorted out his pc problems and saved enough to afford a new one.  If I'm ever within arms reach of him I'm gonna slap the boy!

Oh fuck the universe!!!

I've always had this thing about wanting to one day visit Disney Land and ride the teacups.  Its like one of the things I want to do before I die, ride those damn teacups.  As a kid I always thought they spin and floated on top of a small lake because all the BRIEF videos I saw of it had the sky reflecting off the smooth surface of the ground that they spun on so it was always blue.  I'm not joking, I only found out a couple months ago that they do NOT spin on water.  The small child in me railed.  I'm still going to ride them.  Multiple times.  I also want to visit the castle.  I wish it was a full sized one but still, I want to see it in person so bad.

How delicious is that?  All of you that are a drives length away have no idea how lucky you are.  My friend came back in july after his american trip and he went there for the first time and said it was beyond magical.  And then I found this...

A FULL SIZED CINDERELLA REPLICA CASTLE?!?!?!?!  OMG!  And this ones at Disney World.  Like...other side of the country I think. That was it.  I needed to know if you could stay in there or at the least visit it on a tour.  And I found the only way you can stay there is via special competitions that happen now and then.  I also read that some fucking celebrities can just waltz in and stay no problem.  Fuck you disney.

The description of what you get for the full day if you win is beyond amazing.  Stay in 17th styled bedrooms, have dinner with Cinderella at a huge table, be escorted around the private grounds, just heaps of crap.  And I died a little inside knowing I'd never be able to experience this.  Heres a couple links if you're interested in what goes on during it.  First one is a short description of what you win.  The second link is by a lady who won it and described her entire experience.  My envy of her is beyond painful.

So I'm just going to cry in the corner and hope one day I reach those teacups.  And I'm positive that once I sit in them for the first time I'll magically transform back into that 7 year old who always wanted to ride them.  And the surface they spin on?  In my imagination it WILL be a lake.  You can count on that.
